Batch 5: 6th June - 11th June
This is the last week to be a part of the Prudence Foundation Kelantan Rebuilding Mission in Kuala Krai: Rebuilding Homes. Rebuilding Lives.
Join us on this fully sponsored month long event in May where we will head over to Kelantan to provide flood relief by building homes for Kampung Serasa in Dabong! Each week we’ll aim to build three homes with the help of the local community.
Upon arrival you will go through a Builder Basics Workshop to ensure you have proper tool knowledge and are familiarized with the equipment. Then, you’ll be assigned to your team and the area of the home you’ll be building, such as the roof, floor, walls etc. The work will be physical and it will be hot so please be aware of your fitness level when joining. We’ll provide water, snacks, shade with security and medical team on site. You’re encouraged to take breaks as and when needed. All participants will be covered under a group PA throughout the duration.
We'll be going back to basics together camping in Kampung Serasa next to the Sungai Galas for 6 days, 5 nights. A special campsite has been designed for this experience. We will be camping in 10-man tents, with stretcher beds and sleeping bags for each volunteer. Facilities include: storage area, kitchen, dining area, portable toilets & showers, command centre and activity ground. Food & water will be provided.
Prudence Foundation will cover all basic costs throughout the programme so bring only what you think necessary for personal related outgoings from Day 1 – Day 6, Breakfast.
